Watchet

Watchet is a quaint little village keeping the past in the future. Traditions are upheld in Watchet encapturing the past. If the sun is shining there is no better place to pull up a chair and look out over the marina to the sea which stretches for miles. Local somerset Cider or Ice Cream is a must. All this is within a 3 or 4 minute drive from Doniford Holiday Park. Local pubs and small restaurants a must.

The Quantock Hills

Turning left out of Doniford Holiday Park, within 2 mile you will be in the Quantock Hills. Turn left out of Haven Park, straight over a staggered crossroads, over the next crossroads and you are there.  Car Parking is free.  This is one of the reasons we chose to purchase our caravan in this area. On a clear day with the sun shining, this is one of the most gorgeous places we have ever visited in England. Wild Ponies and Red Deer blot the landscape that stretches 15 miles towards Taunton. Pack a rucksack with a flask as there is nothing for miles an you could walk all day - IT'S A MUST DO!  There are 2 routes that would take about 2 hours each if you were in a rush.  Photos really dont do it justice, please take the short drive, even if you only get out of the car and walk up the path for 5 minutes, the view just opens up - Gorgeous!
